The Talanx Group is integrating environmental, social and governance aspects with its business activities. As an international insurance group and a long-term investor, we are committed to responsible corporate governance based on sustainable value creation. Equally, our customers generally enter into long-term relationships with us. We therefore take a forward looking approach so as to ensure that we can deliver on the promises we make to our customers in the future, too.
Talanx Group’s policy statement on human rights

The Talanx Group regards the recognition and observance of human rights as a central component of its activities. With the policy statement, the Group commits itself to respecting human rights and to exercising corporate due diligence in relation to these rights.
Initiatives

Talanx signs up to PRI
The Talanx Group is a signatory of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) initiative, which advocates for sustainable investments. The Group commits itself to expanding sustainable investments and adheres to the six PRI principles for Responsible Investing.

Talanx signs Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI)
Talanx is committed to adhering to the four principles of the Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI). This confirms that the Group integrates environmental, social, and governance aspects into its business decisions.

Talanx is a member of UNEP FI
Through the PSI initiative, the Talanx Group also joined the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) in the year 2020. The goal of UNEP FI is to integrate environmental aspects into the services of the financial sector.

Talanx signs UN Global Compact
The Talanx Group is committed to adhering to the ten principles of the UN Global Compact (UNGC). These include, among other things, respect for human rights and the promotion of fair working conditions.

Talanx supports sustainable development in accordance with the SDGs
In 2015, the UN published 17 global goals for sustainable development aimed at governments, civil society and the private sector. The Talanx Group supports all 17 goals.
Above and beyond these commitments, the Talanx Group a member of a large number of regional, national and global associations, interest groups and organisations. In addition, our staff are members of working groups that focus on a variety of topics and contribute their expertise to relevant discussions, including on sustainability topics.
Sustainability statement
Since 2014, the Talanx Group has been informing about its sustainability activities and published its first sustainability report in 2015. For the financial year 2024, the Group published its first sustainability statement in accordance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) as part of the management report.
