Dr Jan Wicke

Chief Financial Officer of Talanx AG

Dr Jan Wicke, born in 1968, has been Chief Financial Officer of Talanx AG since September 2020. He has been a member of the Board of Management of Talanx AG since 2014 and was initially responsible for the Group's German retail business.

Dr Wicke, who holds a degree in business administration, began his career in 1993 at DG Capital Management and completed his doctorate in 1997 on the subject of asset management. He then took on various management roles at DBV-Winterthur Versicherungen, AXA and Wüstenrot & Württembergische. From 2007 to 2014, he was CFO and head of risk management at Wüstenrot &Württembergische.

During Dr Jan Wicke's tenure as Chief Financial Officer of Talanx AG, the Group increased its profitability and improved its capital efficiency. This enabled strong organic growth and strategic acquisitions. At the same time, the dividend for shareholders increased steadily.

Dr Jan Wicke's department sets group-wide financial standards to enable decentralized decision-making processes and to ensure transparent reporting for the various stakeholders of the Talanx Group. Of particular importance for the steering of the Group is the group-wide risk and resilience management. In cooperation, he values transparency, integrity and professional competence. These values strengthen the trustworthiness of the organization.
