Talanx takes over Warta Group

Talanx is again making a significant acquisition in its strategic target market Poland: Talanx International AG acquires 100 percent of the shares in TUiR WARTA S.A. (Towarzystwo Ubezpieczen i Reasekuracji Warta S.A.)

Restructuring of the Group by customer groups

To align the organisation better to clients' needs and enhance the value of the Group in the long term, a radical restructuring scheme was launched in 2009. Since 2011, the Group has been operating in the four divisions Retail Germany, Retail International, Industrial Lines and Reinsurance.

Today's HDI International AG takes over companies in Argentina, Uruguay and Mexico

HDI International AG is represented in Brazil, Chile and Mexico, and in five other Latin American countries. The Group's strategy in new markets is to purchase well-established companies and to profitably expand them under local management.

HDI-Gerling Industrie Versicherung opens new unit in Brazil

HDI-Gerling Industrie Versicherung AG expands its foreign network with a new unit in Brazil. The company is part of the Talanx Group and is strengthening its position in Latin America’s biggest country and strongest economy. HDI-Gerling’s new unit is offering all lines of business in industrial insurance, such as property, liability and marine insurance, as well as engineering insurance policies.
