  • Team Talanx represented by 120 cyclists
  • Insurance group makes contribution to the promotion of cycling

Talanx is participating in City Cycling in Cologne with a 120-strong Company Cycling Team and this makes it the biggest team. The nationwide STADTRADELN city-cycling competition is being organised by the Climate Alliance. The aim is to award the title of “Most Proactive Cycling Community” and the competition is being held for the first time in the metropolis on the banks of the River Rhine. Employees in Cologne’s Talanx Head Office and members of their families will pedal as many cycling kilometres as possible during the campaign period from 5 to 25 September 2016. The insurance group employs around 2,300 employees at its Cologne site.

Cycling makes a contribution to protecting the climate. Many employees are already integrating their bicycles into the everyday routine. They go on trips with their family or cycle to and from work, making a proactive contribution to protection of the environment.
“Our Company Cycling Team is enabling us to support the City of Cologne in a nationwide competition. We are putting down a marker for climate protection and making a contribution to the promotion of cycling,” commented Thomas Belker. He is the Board Spokesman of Talanx Service AG and his responsibilities include human resources.

Talanx is raising the profile of the campaign by promoting it within the company using posters, flyers and the Intranet. An in-house competition will identify the “Most Proactive Cycling Employee”.
