There are personnel changes in the Board of Management of Talanx Systeme AG, the IT service provider in the Talanx Group. Chairman of the Board of Management of Talanx Systeme AG Jörn Stapelfeld (55) has taken the decision to leave the Board with effect from 30 June 2017. He is doing so for personal reasons, on the best of terms and in mutual agreement. He will continue to be associated with the Talanx Group in an advisory capacity. The Supervisory Board has appointed Mario Krause (47) as his successor, with effect from 1 July 2017. In the Board of Management of Talanx Systeme AG, Mario Krause is responsible for IT relating to Property/Casualty, Industrial Lines and Infrastructure. With effect from 1 July 2017, his place on the Board of Management will be taken by Oliver Barnack (44), who currently leads Infrastructure Operation and Application Development for Property/Casualty in the management team of Talanx Systeme AG. The Board of Management of Talanx Systeme AG will then consist of Mario Krause, Oliver Barnack and Michael Krebbers.

"We are very sorry to say that Jörn Stapelfeld will be departing from the Board," commented Herbert K. Haas, Chairman of the Board of Management of Talanx AG and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Talanx Systeme AG. "During his time as Chairman of the Board of Management of Talanx Systeme AG, he not only successfully initiated and drove forward the strategic realignment of the company's IT systems, but also anchored essential IT projects for digital transformation securely in the Talanx Group. On behalf of the Supervisory Board, I would like to thank him for his work and valuable discussion, and wish him all the best for the future."

Jörn Stapelfeld became Chairman of the Board of Management of Talanx Systeme AG in June 2014.

Herbert K. Haas continued: "At the same time, I'm delighted that we have been able to bring on board experienced and capable IT strategists from among our own ranks in the form of Mario Krause and Oliver Barnack. Mario Krause brings with him the strategic IT expertise we need for the challenges of digitalisation that lie ahead. Oliver Barnack has many years of operational experience in infrastructure and application development, making him the ideal addition to the management team of Talanx Systeme AG; his appointment will support the company and its divisions in ensuring they are well equipped for the future in terms of IT. I look forward to collaborating with our new Board Members, and wish them both great success in their future roles."

Mario Krause has been employed at Talanx Group since 2008. His first role was as a head of department, and he has been a Member of the Board of Management of Talanx Systeme AG since 2011. He is qualified as a Diplom-Ingenieur, comparable to a Master of Engineering, and was previously employed in various management positions among others at Accenture GmbH and FinanzIT (now Finanz Informatik GmbH & Co.KG).

He is an insurance broker and management expert focusing on Information Technology, and as head of department is currently still responsible for Infrastructure Operation and Application Development for Property/Casualty.
