Flood claims at Talanx within the major loss budget

After initial preliminary estimates, the Talanx Group is anticipating a net burden from flood claims in Germany and neighbouring countries at less than EUR 250 million. This amount entirely includes the burden of losses reported by Hannover Re today.

Therewith, major claims occurring in the year to date are within the proportionate budget for major claims. Talanx will publish updated figures on the effects of the flooding with the results for the second quarter of 2013 on 14 August 2013.
