Jean-Jacques Henchoz

Jean-Jacques Henchoz, born in Switzerland in 1964, has been Chairman of the Executive Board of Hannover Re and a member of the Talanx Executive Board since 2019. His responsibilities on the Talanx Board of Management include the reinsurance business.

During his tenure as Chairman of the Executive Board of Hannover Re, Henchoz has expanded both business groups - non-life and life/health reinsurance - and increased profitability. At the same time, Hannover Re's share price and dividend have increased significantly. At the same time, under his leadership Hannover Re has further enhanced its resilience and strengthened its role as a reliable partner and reinsurer with a strong capital base.

Henchoz is convinced that an appreciative corporate culture is the key to a successful team that works in partnership and innovatively to find solutions to clients' needs.

Before joining Hannover Re and thus becoming a member of the Talanx Executive Board, Henchoz spent more than 20 years with Swiss Re in various management positions, including as a member of the Executive Committee.

Before obtaining a Master of Business Administration from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Lausanne.
