Personnel changes in the Board of Management of Talanx AG

The Supervisory Board of Talanx AG adopted resolutions relating to personnel changes in the Board of Management of Talanx AG at its meeting on 18 April 2008. With effect from 30 June 2008, Werner Dettmer, responsible for the Group directorate Information Technology and Human Resources, will leave the Board of Management of Talanx AG by mutual agreement. The Supervisory Board and Werner Dettmer have agreed not to continue the cooperation on account of a difference in opinion about strategic direction.
With effect from 1 June 2008, the Supervisory Board of Talanx AG has appointed Dr. Thomas Noth as a Member of the Board of Management of Talanx AG with responsibility for Group Information Technology. Dr. Thomas Noth was last Chairman of the Executive Management of FinanzIT GmbH, Hanover, the systems company operated by the financial group Sparkasse-Finanzgruppe. Dr. Noth obtained doctorate in business administration and started his professional career at McKinsey and then moving on to become head of organization and IT at BHF-Bank. In 1997, he changed to the Board of Management of the Stadtsparkasse municipal savings bank in Cologne where he was responsible for banking operations and sales management.
Herbert K. Haas, Chairman of the Board of Management of Talanx AG, will take over responsibility for Group Human Resources with effect from 30 June 2008.
