Wolf-Dieter Baumgartl new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of HDI V.a.G. and Talanx AG

Following the mutually agreed termination of the mandates held by Wolf-Dieter Baumgartl as Member and Chairman of the Boards of Management of HDI V.a.G. and Talanx AG on 12 July 2006, he was elected by the Annual General Meetings of the two companies on 12 July 2006 as a Member of the Supervisory Boards of HDI V.a.G. and Talanx AG. Baumgartl was then elected Chairman of the two bodies by the Members of the Supervisory Boards of HDI V.a.G. and Talanx AG.

Dr. Hans-Joachim Fonk, the previous Chairman of the Supervisory Boards of HDI V.a.G. and Talanx AG, had resigned his mandates as Member and Chairman of the two bodies at the end of the appropriate Annual General Meetings on grounds of age. The Annual General Meeting of HDI V.a.G elected Dr. Fonk as honorary Chairman of the Supervisory Board in response to a proposal by the Board of Management and the Supervisory Board.
