Gerhard Frieg joins the Management Board of the
Retail Germany Division

The Supervisory Board of HDI-Gerling Leben Serviceholding AG has appointed Gerhard Frieg (53) as a member of the Management Board with effect from 1 May 2010.
Mr. Frieg joins the company from MLP AG; he has worked there since 1987, including various Board positions from 1995 onwards. He was responsible, most notably, for product procurement across lines of business. A fully qualified lawyer, he will assume responsibility for Marketing and Product Management – areas of key importance to customer and market orientation – in the newly created Retail Germany Division. The activities of the companies serving private and commercial customers in the property/casualty, life and bancassurance segments are to be concentrated in this division under the leadership of Dr. Heinz-Peter Roß.
The reorganization of the Divisional Management Board already reported on 22.03.2010 is thus complete.
