With premium income of about € 23 billion in 2010 the Talanx Group is the third-largest insurance group in Germany and the eleventh-largest in Europe. Talanx operates extremely successfully as a multi-brand provider in highly promising sectors of the insurance and financial services industry. The Hannover-based company is active worldwide with a workforce numbering some 18,000 employees as of year-end 2010.
The Group's operations are split into five areas: Retail Germany, Retail International, Industrial Lines, Reinsurance and Financial Services. Although Talanx has only been operating under this name since 1998, the roots and experience of the Group extend back 100 years.
